Visitation is at 10:00 AM, Wednesday Feb. 13, 2013 at Raymore Christian Church, 58 Hwy and Peace Blvd, Raymore followed by service at 11:00 at the church with burial in the Belton Cemetery. Margaret requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be sent to the Raymore Christine Church Building Fund.
She was born July 30, 1916, to Miner and Beulah Stanley on the family farm in Chariton County near Marceline, Mo. She moved to Kansas City in the late 1930’s and lived in the area the rest of her life. She worked as a legal secretary, housewife and mother. In 1962 she began working in civil service at Richards-Gebaur AFB, retiring in 1985. She was active in the Raymore Christian Church, having been a life-long member of The BeltonChristian Church (Disciples of Christ).
In January of 2005 she moved to Carnegie Village in Belton. She thoroughly enjoyed her friends she made there, playing cards, bingo, movies and the Holiday parties, etc. The family wants to thank the staff for their kindness, concerns and the happy days she spent there.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, two sisters, her daughter Jean Kay Dickerson McMahon and grandson David M. Eblen.
She is survived by her son David S. Eblen (Jane); grandchildren, Geoffrey F. Eblen (Teresa), Heather Calvert (Chad), Donald Dickerson, Dr. Daniel Dickerson (Jill), Lt. Col. Dennis Dickerson (Kristie) and Darrin Dickerson (Stacy); 16 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family feels they were blessed to have her so many years, though she would tell everyone that it was she who was blessed.
