Kerry was born in Kansas City, MO, in 1979. She was the most beautiful red-headed little girl, and she had a spirit to match it. She attended Eastwood Hills Elementary School before moving to Cleveland MO and graduating from Cass Midway High School. She went to Northwest Missouri State University. Kerry was proud to be a Bearcat and spent some of her best times at Northwest where she met some lifelong friends while she worked to receive her teaching degree. She taught at four charter schools over her teaching career, Brookside, University Academy, Hope Leadership and Kipp. She loved her career working with so many great people and all her kids.
Kerry started walking for general exercise and became quite an athlete. She ran many 5K’s including multiple series events. After years of running she took up riding her bike, Kermit, for little 75-mile jaunts with her other cycling friends. She was all about adventure, she went skydiving multiple times and would travel when she had the opportunity. She also served her community on the Codes Enforcement Committee with Belton MO, where she lived for many years.
Kerry would tell you; her cats were good for her spirit and loved her cat Sammy whom she adopted; Sammy was the best nurse a girl could have this past year. Kerry left this world on April 4, 2024, she wanted it mentioned she died of Malignant neoplasm of the exocervix, she hated it when people didn’t say what they died from.
She leaves behind her parents Gary and Nancy (Sparks) White and brother Gary Mac and his wife Gayla, two nieces Samantha and Nickoal, 3 great nephews. Her aunts and many cousins.
Kerry was preceded in death by her grandparents Elgean and Wilhelmina Sparks. Harley White and Mildred Thompson.
Kerry will be missed by all that knew her.
