Jack Wiley Davis, 80, husband of the late Josephine Anne Davis of Raymore, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at his home. Born November 21st, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Wiley Ernest and Virginia Louise Seibert-Davis.
Jack attended O’Fallon Technical High School in St. Louis, graduating in 1962. He then attended the University of Missouri at Rolla where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jack was a co-founder of the Rolla chapter of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Jack married Josephine Bradshaw on August 27th, 1966. Jack graduated in 1967 and went to work for Bendix (Honeywell) in Kansas City, Missouri. Jack retired in February 2004 after 36 years. Jack was a long-time member of the Grandview Elks Lodge (#2088). Jack’s hobbies included wood working, softball, bowling, fishing, and bird-watching.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Kloiber and her husband Michael, his son Daniel Davis, and his wife Sonja as well as grandchildren Logan Davis, Loren Kloiber, Chase Kloiber and Faith Griffith.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 29th at the McGilley & George Funeral Home 611 Chestnut St. Belton Missouri 64012. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. The memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM with inurnment following at Mount Olivet Cemetery (7601 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, Missouri 64138).
Reception will be held in Jack's honor at the HEADQUARTERS Winery and Mercantile 100 W Pearl St. Harrisonville, Missouri 64701 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Jack W. Davis to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 1640 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
