Mary Lou Coffey passed into eternity on July 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was was born on December 29, 1931 and raised on a farm in Kingman, Kansas with her father and mother, Raymond and Esther Orme and her brothers Gaylord and Jan Orme where she spent many happy years growing up there.
When she was 13, her family moved to California where she would later meet her husband Bill Coffey in the Compton College marching band where they marched in a few Rose Parades together. They were married for 64 years and had four children, David, Danny, Cindy and Randy, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents and brothers.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary Lou’s life was devoted to her family and her Christian faith. She faithfully served as church pianist and organist at Little Lake Baptist Church and Faith Fellowship Church for several decades where she blessed hundreds of people over the years with her music.
Our family matriarch, her legacy of love, family and faith will be felt for generations. She is now in the presence of God and reunited with her Bill. We take comfort knowing that we’ll see her again one day in heaven. Mary Lou will be greatly missed. Forever in our hearts!
