曹李穎儀女士原籍新會,落籍湛江,主曆一九四六年六月十九日出生。父母親是李汝尚先生及朱佐良女士。十歲時遷到香港,同年入讀同濟學校。一九六五年考入柏立基師範學院,畢業後在新界大埔軍地公立小學任教。三年後轉教官塘聖公會基顯小學,晚上進修香港大學校外課程中國文學。一九七三年轉職長洲天主教聖心小學。生活雖忙碌,但愛好閱讀,孜孜不倦。
一九七四年與曹敏虔先生共諧連理,育有一子一女。除了是一位盡職盡責愛護家庭的母親和妻子,穎儀還喜愛園藝,愛好烹飪並與親戚朋友分享她的美味佳餚。
一九八九年十二月舉家移民美國,並於一九九零年八月三十日進入華人健安療養院當助護,後期因進修而轉職為醫葯檔案管理員,直至二零一二年九月十日退休,於健安共服務二十二年。
移民西雅圖時,跟隨妗母陳李美湖參加華人浸信會崇拜,且在一九九二年轉會成為會友,更在中文成人團契事奉,又擔任中文成年主日學教師凡十二年。此外在教會的頌主詩班亦事奉了十八年之久。
穎儀自二零二零年四月十日中風後,行動不便。同年七月亦因腦積水問題,急診進院做手術。疫情期間曾三度急診進院及两次進康服中心。另在二零二二年五月十日被確診患上子宫内膜癌。在十二月七日,穎儀因身體內部機能衰退,突然失去反應,繼而沉沉入睡。直到二零二二年十二月十三日,主懷安息,享年七十六歲。
穎儀遺下心愛的丈夫,姊姊慧儀,哥哥崇英,妹妹昭儀,女兒思韻,兒子思荃與兒媳凱欣,內孫翊宏和翊君。
Wing Yee Tso-Lee was born to Lee Yu Sheung and Chu Jor Leung on June 19th, 1946 in Zhangjiang, Guangdong, China with ancestry from the Xinhui District. At the age of 10, she moved to Hong Kong and enrolled at Tung Chi School in the same year. In 1965, she was admitted to The Sir Robert Black College of Education. After graduation, she taught at the Tai Po Kwan Ti Public Primary School in the New Territories. Three years later, she transferred to Kwun Tong S.K.H. Kei Hin Primary School. In the evenings, she studied Chinese literature at the University of Hong Kong. Then in 1973, she transferred to Cheung Chau Catholic Sacred Heart Primary School. Although life was filled to the brim with activity, she worked tirelessly for she loved both teaching and reading.
Wing Yee and Man Kin were happily married on January 1st, 1974. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and wife, Wing Yee also loved tending to her garden, enjoyed cooking and sharing her delicious dishes with friends and family.
In December 1989, her family immigrated to the United States. Shortly after, Wing Yee started working as a nursing assistant at Kin On Nursing Home on August 30th, 1990. With further studies and training, she became a medical file administrator. After 22 years of service, she retired on September 10th, 2012.
When Wing Yee’s family first immigrated to Seattle, auntie May Chan brought them to Seattle Chinese Baptist Church for Sunday service. In 1992, Wing Yee became a member of the Chinese Baptist Church where she served in the Chinese Adult Fellowship, taught the Chinese Adult Sunday School for 12 years and sung in the church choir for 18 years.
On April 10th, 2020, Wing Yee suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which affected her mobility. In mid-July, her stroke was complicated where she was emergently sent to the hospital for operation. On March 28th, 2022, she went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with endometrial cancer on May 10th. On December 7th, 2022 Wing Yee fell into a coma after a difficult battle with cancer and passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus on December 13th, 2022 at the age of 76.
Wing Yee is survived by her loving husband; her elder sister, Wai Yee; elder brother, Shung Ying; younger sister, Grace; daughter, Swan; son Trevor with wife Isabella; grandchildren, Ivan and Tianna and countless friends. We request all of Wing Yee’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, January 7th, 2023. Viewing/Visitation for Mrs. Tso-Lee will be from 1pm-2pm with the Celebration of Life to follow at 2pm-4pm.
