Wen-Yi Lu

Wen-Yi was born in Taipei, Taiwan on Oct. 13, 1968. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Fu-Jen University in Taipei with a major in Spanish. After moving to Pasadena, California, she earned her MBA degree from Claremont McKenna.

As a lifelong learner, Wen-Yi's life was marked by an impressive range of intellectual pursuits. She not only dabbled in — but mastered — music, interior design, gemology, literature, Zen Buddhism, handiwork, real estate, to name a few. Earning the title of "jack-of-all-trades," she was known for being able to fix anything that was broken. From playing the piano to building a home, she approached everything with unyielding diligence and grace.

Wen-Yi found solace in the Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association and was a diligent proponent of Chan Mediation. In her studies, she demonstrated her talent in writing, philosophy, and community building.

Wen-Yi is survived by her husband, Ming-Chieh Lee, her daughter, Jennifer Lee, her son Jeffrey Lee, and her dog Precious. She was surrounded by loved ones when she passed and will be deeply missed.
