Rowland Earl Brown of Issaquah, Washington passed away on Wednesday, March 9th 2022 at the age of 97. He was born on May 11th 1924 in Portland Oregon. He lived all over the US as his father was a Colonel in the Army.
He graduated from University of Colorado in the 1940’s with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was a Lt. in the US Navy. He was an Engineer at Boeing for forty years. He retired in 1986 as Vice President of New Product Development.
He and his late wife Marjorie were actively involved in the Meydenbauer Yacht Club of Bellevue for several decades.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rowland Seth Brown, mother, Bernice Soule Brown and wife of 54 years, Marjorie Meyers Brown, son, Gregory Lee Brown, and son James Rowland Brown.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Scott Brown, grandsons, Ryan and Rowland Brown, great grandchildren, Eli, Lexi and Luna Brown.
Retirement years included yearly voyages to Glacier Bay, Alaska from Anacortes, on their treasured boat. Winter sojourns to Maui, Hawaii. Charter Seahawk ticket holder, and a proud #12.
The family would like to thank Briarwood at Timber Ridge for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
