She was born in Portland, Oregon to Margie and Tony Morrell, who marveled at her passion for Jesus starting at a young age and growing powerfully throughout adulthood. Rebecca graduated as the salutatorian from Prairie High School before attaining her doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Washington and working as an inpatient pharmacist at Swedish Medical Center. Some of Rebecca’s fondest childhood memories were camping with her family at national parks in their Volkswagen camper van.
Rebecca first met her lifelong love, Greg in 2003. Early days of their relationship were spent hiking, cycling, enjoying new restaurants, and walking/running countless laps around Green Lake. Excited to grow their lives together, the two were married in 2007 in Kirkland WA. Rebecca and Greg’s pride and joy were their two children Jackson and Natalie. Rebecca cherished every moment of being a mom to Jackson and Natalie and they adored her dearly in turn. The family shared many happy memories of skiing, fly fishing, traveling, neighborhood barbecues, and playing with their new puppy, Buddy. Rebecca found daily peace from reading and studying her bible, watching the birds in the sunshine from the patio, and listening to her children laugh.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her Grandparents Joseph and Phyllis Morrell, and Dr. Richard and Doris Jackson.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Greg Spain, children Jackson and Natalie Spain, parents Margie and Tony Morrell, brother Tim (Jennifer Morrell), niece and nephew, Ethan and Ashley, her sister-in-law Melissa (Dan Bozich), and nieces and nephews, Kingston, Harper, Will and Ella, and her mother-in-law Donna Spain.
