Tony sent me this picture of the last 'Danville, Kentucky Rendezvous' that the extended Jackson clan had with cousin Becca & family, after the funeral service of our Aunt Katherine, my father's sister in June 2009. My son Jackson wasn't in the photo and hers was soon to be born. We reconnected briefly when he was. Although we all got older, Becca seemed to maintain her youth in body, spirit and strength, as Tony would keep us updated on her health. 

I've learned how even more inspirational Becca was through these many heartfelt posts and her Memorial service, which was a beautiful celebration of her life. It is clear that she possessed grace that will help guides us through our own trials with her example of endurance & faith. 

Please know we are wishing much peace and love to Becca's family & friends during this difficult time of loss.

I remember meeting Becca like it was yesterday. She joined my Bible Study table in September of 2023. She is one of those people that I’m forever grateful to God for bringing into my life. God’s light was so bright in her that nothing could dim it down and it never did. She taught me, loved me, comforted me, and made me laugh. I’m looking forward to seeing you again, my dear sweet friend. You came into my and others’ life for a reason and it’s a beautiful one. Your memory will always be with me.

This photo was taken Thursday morning June 17, 1999 in the Prairie High School parking lot. After our graduation ceremony we were all promptly put onto a bus and taken to Oaks Park where we spent one last night together as a graduating class.  This was the last time I saw Becca and as you can see she appears quite cheerful despite having had an all nighter with our class. Many of us knew we wouldn't be seeing eachother again so we hung out in the parking lot before eventually heading home. The names of everyone are written on the photograph, but since my 18 year old handwriting is somewhat difficult to read it states from Left to right - Carson Davis, Becca Morrel, Jeff Byrd, Isaac King, seated left to right - James Kalteich, Jessica Andrade, Jason Boyer, and Andrea Dettorre.

The car belonged to Liz Hart who isn't actually in the photo (haha) I think she arrived on a later bus but I honestly can't remember why she's not in the photo. The next car belonged to Lynelle Gamage who is also missing from the picture.  

Becca and I were acquaintances who had friends in common. My lasting memory of Becca is that she was a girl of faith with a sunny disposition. My condolences to you and your family. Peace be with you.

We had the privilege of living next door to Becca and her sweet family in Redmond for years. Becca was more than a neighbor. She was a true friend who brightened my day every time we met. Her positive attitude and deep faith continue to inspire me. I deeply regret that I'll be traveling and will miss her memorial service, but I will be thinking and praying for you all - especially Greg, Becca, Jackson and Natalie.

Becca truly brought light and joy into this world. We got to know each other in high school - in class and on the tennis courts. I remember her insight and friendliness with fondness. She was a great tennis player and a true competitor, but also probably had the most fun attitude on the courts out of all of us. Her smile and expressions added an element of fun whenever I was around her. While we drifted apart after high school, she holds a special place in my memory and heart and I will always remember her smile.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Rebecca’s passing. Although I never had the chance to meet her, my mom kept me updated on her situation and how your family was handling everything with such strength and love. I can only imagine the heartbreak of losing someone so young. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.

I am very sorry to see this and my heart goes out to Becca’s family. I hired her at Swedish many years ago and my daughter shares the same name. Becca was such a bright star.  May her light shine on.

So sorry to hear about Becca’s passing. I admired her strength in the midst of such adversity. She carried herself in a way that I could never imagine given her the heavy weight she carried in the wake of cancer. Prayers to you all during this trying time. May God hold you all close.

Becca was a magical part of our neighborhood. I initially was introduced to her via our neighborhood book club then later during daily chats at the kids bus stop. She had such an open and inviting presence. She was just so easy to talk to and laugh with. 
I truly believe her struggles really brought this neighborhood group of moms together like nothing else could. She showed us the power of neighborly love and friendship.  

I am still in awe of her zest for life. Just this past Spring we were chatting about her wanting to join me in a tennis league. She had to come back to say no, that her doctor told her absolutely not. She was absolutely fearless.

Becca was so beautiful and happy on this perfect day.

Becca was my tennis partner in high school at some point, I think it was freshman year.  She had a warmth and joyful energy that made everyone around her comfortable.  She was always one of my most favorite friends to hug and catch up with because time apart didn’t seem to matter.  Over the years we lost touch, but I watched her glowing through her Facebook posts over her family. I know she will be in heaven with Jesus.  She was and is an angel.  Until we meet again sister. ❤️

Although I didn't get to see Becca often I would text her especially as she was going through her treatments these last 2 years. If I can sum up my memory of her it would be: resilient, positive, loving, kind and most of all STRONG. I made Becca this pillow exactly one year ago on her birthday and sent it to her. I told her it reminded us of her: strong and brave.  We miss you, Becca.  Aunt Rita and Uncle Pat

Becca was my "bobsy" twin in High School.  We met on the tennis team our Freshman year and became fast friends.  The friendship came easy - we had a bunch of the same classes,  overlapping friend groups, and tennis every Fall (and boy did she have a wicked left-handed serve).  We had lots of adventures in the little blue rabbit that she drove.  We would go all over town together laughing and having fun.   We had lots of conversations about God, life, and religion.  I was always so impressed by her faith, standards, and love for others.   My life is better because I knew and had Becca Morrell Spain as a friend. I will forever treasure the memories we made- and smile.

After high school, our time together was more spread out, but every time we were together or talking on the phone - we picked up right where we left off as if no time had passed.  She loved her work as a pharmacist, but you could tell that her true passion was for her husband Greg and her children Jackson and Natalie.  I will always remember how she lit up when she told me she was expecting her first baby! She was completely filled with joy.   I will miss you Becca - you are and always will be my Bobsy Twin.  Until we meet again.

Sitting here remembering Becca, smiling through my tears. Becca was my very best friend all through middle school and early high school - to the point where many people at Prairie didn't know which of us was which. Whether we were staying up late playing Carmen Sandiego on the computer in her family room (I loved that room),  writing silly stories together, making each other a new batch of friendship bracelets, or leaning on each other to get through the transition from private school to public school - she was just always there. Always positive. Always a joy to be with. She felt like home. She made me feel safe. God gave me Bec in every class our freshman year of high school, and I'm not sure I could have done that year without her. Loved you Bec.

In memory of 43 years with the best sister one could have.  I will never forget our moments together touring the National Parks, our Friday night camp outs in the Family Room, sandcastles and kites on the Oregon Coast, and celebrating the milestones of life together.  To my adventurous, loving, generous, thoughtful, and always positive sister - I love you and will always treasure our memories together!  Tim

We continue to pray for the Spain family! Becca was beautiful both inside and out! Though I didn’t know her well, her faith and legacy are beyond inspiring! My husband worked with Greg years ago and I initially met Becca at a party we hosted that they attended. Afterwards, we got the kindest and most sincere thank you from Becca! I never forgot her graciousness and thankfully reunited with her years later in Bible Study. What a faithful sister in Christ! I know that you and your loved ones will be reunited in glory one day, what a celebration that will be! I’m so grateful to have known Becca and will never forget the impeccable example she set for living your faith! God bless!
