I never met Lillian, but greatly admired her work. She was was one of those people with whom I wished  to study. My condolences to her family, students and friends. She will live on through the memories of those who love her, and through her books, lectures and students all over the world. Just today I learned of Lillian Bridge's passing, and I was stunned.  I attended several of Lillian's classes on Chinese Face Reading, and of course, read her book.  I was so grateful for the knowledge and wisdom she shared, and the humble and loving way that she shared it.   Whenever I use the insights she taught me,  I make a point of also sharing that we use this information as an extra tool in understanding and working with each other, and not to judge.

I had the honour of attending Lillian's face reading classes a few times, both in Singapore and Malaysia. The last few being private sessions for my clients in Malaysia, during which I had the opportunity to spend some really nice time with her over meals and casual chats. As a young mother then, I was eager to show her my children's photos and Lillian was as usual, very kind in sharing her knowledge and what she thought could be meaningful insights.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lillian for the wonderful teachings she gave me. We hadn't met for almost a decade and the last we wrote to each other was probably few years ago. The knowledge I acquired on face reading has left a deep impact on how I view things around me and how I help others in many ways. It has since become a part of my practice. In my heart, Lillian's more than a teacher. 

Lillian, thanks for crossing my path. May your soul rest in eternal bliss.






Lillian was such a vibrant and inspiring person – it's been hard to find the words to express my feelings upon hearing of her passing. I'm so glad to have known her, even just a bit, and will treasure those memories. I wish her friends and family, blessings and peace.

Lillian spoke fondly of her family when I first met her in her class in Vancouver, BC, Canada, in 2007. 

She was always so cheerful and delightful to be around. She had a passion for helping people. She had a heart of gold.

I am deeply saddened by her passing because the world has lost an angel but heaven has gained one. She walked among us sharing her wisdom and her smile. Her mere presence would light up a room and bring so much joy. 

I feel Lillian is smiling down on us. I know that she will remind me the importance of being kind to everyone you meet and the importance of trying to brighten up a strangers day.

I am going to miss Lillian so much. She was one of my most favorite people in the world. She’s been there for me through the bad and good times. We will miss Lillian dearly.  She touched so many hearts both professionally and personally. She had a talent for seeing the unique gifts in each individual. Her open and pure heart touched those she met, often on a deep level, and we are grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. Her songs, shopping expeditions, love of food and good cooking and distinctive joyful laugh are memories that will stay with us forever. What is there even to say about Lillian Ji?    You could just feel when she walked in a room.  She exuded a life force that  permeated her innate being.   
I am grateful to her as a teacher for all of the facereading knowledge she passed on from your family lineage; Shen, Jing, Qi, Ling and Ming. Grateful for the compassion she extended to my family and for the beauty she saw in me.  
In class, I asked so many questions, laughed, cried and pondered.  Now I am that person that says ooooh look at the wood in him, those eyebrows are great, or that’s so metal what lovely cheekbones.  Moreover, I am a better human being for learning from her. 
As she said to me in my facereading “magical life, magical life” This is the Lillian affect. I know her to be a strong, wise and free-spirited woman.   Her love for her family was genuinely  shared with us all. I feel sad and will miss her.  My heart is so grateful.  Thank you for sharing her with us

Lillian was a huge asset to Acupuncture profession. She was a pioneer in helping acupuncture grow and she even made it so easy for the lay person to understand facial acupuncture.
I took many of her courses and what stands out was always her energy and passion for her work.

My heartfelt condolences to Lillian’s family! Lillian will always stay in our hearts.

Lillian and I met many years ago at the TCM conference in Rothenburg.  Since then we met many times – in Germany, Denmark, Oregon, Washington, California... We always had interesting and inspiring conversations, we had fun, we laughed a lot, we exchanged recipes. 
Do you remember, Lillian, when you drove all the way from Seattle to Portland/OR by car to see me while I was in the States? You had to go back the same day, and I asked you whether you really wanted to drive that far. You answered something like “but it’s so much closer going to Portland to see you than going to Germany”. Plus, you wanted to go shopping and have an early dinner with me.  
Oh, and our shopping tours in Rothenburg… I don’t remember how many lipsticks I got from you. 
Or you reading my face. We talked for hours. So many wonderful memories… 

Beloved Lillian I miss you already. But I know you will remain being "here"! We will stay in touch. Farewell, my friend, and thank you for everything!


I remember her during her teachings in Bologna, she was very inspiring and very respectful about her family and knowledge. What I learned from her will be useful for the years to come and I hope it will never die. She was very funny and a caring person and I will never forget her words to me that was really helpful to pass over a very scary and hard time. Thank you so much 

Lillian was my Feng Shui teacher. Over the years, as I've done consultations, I share my experience from her, and all her amazing stories. She was an incredible being, with a kind heart and a beautiful perspective on life and the world. My heart is heavy to hear of her passing, as I'm sure it was a shock to many who knew her. I will cherish her teachings and what gifts she gave to the world.

Penso che abbia incarnato molti degli elementi classici della nostra professione di medici cinesi. 
E la magia della lettura dei volti, che splendido regalo Lilian..
La ricordo sempre che parlava di sua nonna con affetto, amore e rispetto. 
Il modo in cui l'ho vista insegnare a noi  le sue abilità che le erano state donate e tramandate. La ricorderò sempre e userò le sue lezioni e i suoi libri per aiutare le persone che posso. I discovered Lillian though her yearly astrological readings and eagerly looked forward to each one of past few years. Though we never met in person, Lillian was such an inspiration to m. She had such an inner light, grace, wisdom and humor and so appreciated her unique perspective on aging. Now I appreciate my ‘moneybags’! I will never forget a story she told about ‘prescribing’ that one of her patients spend more time just watching the clouds go by, and that it wound up being such a force for healing. She was an amazing person, more than I even know. Sending comfort to her family and all that knew and loved her. 

I was fortunate enough to have Lillian face read me for two sessions. She was such a caring, kind energy and her words have impacted me greatly. She is a blessing to many and her legacy will live on for generations to come. 

You'll be sorely missed, Lillian. Thank you for teaching and showing us a different way to see the human face and its place in the Universe. <3

I always remember her talking of her Grandmother with affection, love and respect. The way I saw her teach others the skills she was gifted and earned. She has contributed to so many practitioners, so many people have been helped by her contributions. I will remember her always and use her lessons to help the people I can. I send my love to her family and friends for their loss. She will live in my memories and practice. 

Dear Lillian. I will always remember the wonderful moments we shared in Rothenburg on the TCM Congress - preparing the fantastic finale, the every time different and wonderful concerts at the end, the lullaby you played for little Maeva, the deep conversations. Dear Lillian! All those times we met, in Rothenburg, Stockholm and Denmark, it felt like you were my sister. We had fun, especially in the Hölle. You emanated so much joy, freedom, wisdom and lust to life. Reading a face is one thing, but seeing what you saw and shared, strengths, potential and talents, is quite another, one  that you mastered, based in love, compassion and empowerment. I’m very sad to hear this news. Lillian accomplished and shared so much. She leaves us with the gift of an incredible body of work. I am honoured to have been her student in Australia. My sincere condolences goes out to all her loved ones. 

I studied in her face reading classes in Reading, UK a couple of times and so enjoyed  the sessions. She was just so vibrant and full of life. I particularly remember two things: one that she said she enjoyed ‘pulling up her femininity  from the Earth’ and the students watched as she transformed into a sensual goddess.  The  second thing was that she said she had too much to accomplish to die before she was 100 years old 😢.  Bless her … condolences to all her family and loved ones, who will miss her so terribly. Dear family of Lillian,  your mother (in love) touched the hearts of many. She spoke of you so often with so much pride and love, with so much honesty about the times in her life that weren’t easy, sharing all the wisdom she got from those and how it had fuelled her love for you and her aspirations to be the best mother she could be. She saw you. In all your glory, with her immense wisdom and humour. I cannot imagine the magnitude of her loss, so sudden and quick, and can only express my sincere condolences to you all. 
She pointed me onto my golden path, I would have loved to study with her some more… but will honour her legacy and pass on what she taught with reverence and love. In the positive spirited manner she used to teach. Telling us: ‘look at the face and only start talking in your reading when you have found the one thing in that face you have fallen in love with. Always tell people their gift and strenght. They are telling themselves already enough about their weaknesses. ❤️ So much love. ❤️ 

Beloved Lillian, dear friend, teacher and college. I’ve had the privilege to spend beautiful moments with you in Europe, learning  from the ancient wisdom you channeled so generously and passionately for the worldwide Chinese medicine community.  We had wonderful days in Finland some years back. I’ll never forget the day when you arrived, and we went up to a tower in the middle of Helsinki. You saw a rainbow and said “this is a good sign. When  I see a rainbow, I know that something good is to happen.” And you were right. That was a game changer time in my life, and I can see the depth of it now in the retrospective. That was the most important teaching you gave me. 

May your soul fly free, singing your own lullaby, dancing  and expanding into your own light, which we had the privilege to witness in this lifetime. Thank you for that.

I took a few classes with Lilian, I loved her books and was so excited to read her blog each year.  She loved life so much.  She told us many personal stories of empowerment and vibrant energy all woven into the different parts of the face and made me fall in love with every wrinkle and shade.  I will share a few here.  One was about how she took care of her close family member who had a psychiatric illness till they had a dangerous episode and then she realized she had to let go of them.  
The other was when she described a meal that she loved, salmon cooked in the oven with lemon on it and hearing it sizzle and smelling it would bubble her filled with joy and that’s what she said every meal should make one feel.   That was the life giving energy in a meal that could elevate one’s spirit.   She loved food and was working on a cook book I believe.  
This year she described being in nature by a body of water where one could receive the life energy again.   
She also talked about her relationships and her grandmother who passed on a lot of her wisdom in face reading.  Her grandmother used the face reading wisdom in hiring people for their company and doing business.   She passed her knowledge to Lilian out of all the children.   
I would never forget she told us one time I can see that everyone in my class has an open third eye.   She was psychic and so filled with energy.  But her ears were thin, she pinched them and laughed.  That meant she couldn’t abuse her body as much as some people with thick ears could do.  And I listened to her.  I read each page of her book with care.  I gave her book to my mom and my best friend and they loved it too.   She had such a bright spirit her body became light…. Hard to believe.  

I appreciate Lillian's teachings and I started attending more of her talks/recordings over the past two years.  She has a lovely personality, compassion, and her insight is invaluable.  Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. 

My first and only opportunity to learn from  her is through the webinar of Healthy Seminar  back to the time of covid lockdown in the US. it’s a charming lecture that I told myself that when she updated her classes on her website I would register.  Please come back at your new life cycle as Professor again Ms. Lilian 


The moment Lillian & I met we felt as if we had known each other forever. It’s so fascinating when you meet someone like that and such an unexpected gift. 
Gratitude for Lillian’s wisdom and her enthusiasm for the knowledge she has passed on to many of us. A beautiful soul most assuredly is now soaring in the peace and freedom she deserves. Prayers for that journey and for all who have loved her. I will never look at anyone the same after meeting Lillian.
