Shirley F. Roberson (nee Wamble), 88, of Waterloo, IL and formerly of Belleville, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Cedarhurst of Waterloo. Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend of many. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Hills, Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, and volunteer at the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Edna Irene (Rathsack) Wamble; husband Rollen David “RD” Roberson; daughter, Annmarie Roberson; and sister, Jean Lavender. Shirley is survived by her son, “Rob” Rollen (Lisa) Roberson II; granddaughters, Kalen Roberson (Stephen Layton) and Melanie Rigden (Mike Bartels); great grandchildren, Morgan and Cameron; great grand-dog Ruby; sisters, Sandy Wood, Betty Bogert, and Cindy (Dave) Weaver; brothers David (Diane) Wamble, and Mike Wamble.
Friends may visit on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223.
