Nicholas Nick C Pappas

Nick retired from St. Clair Highway Department. He was a District #1 Trustee of the Village of Cahokia from May 1983 through December 31, 1988. He also, served as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman during this time. He was a 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Sally, nee Moon, Pappas; brothers, James C. Pappas, Chris “Doc” Pappas, George Pappas and William Pappas and sister, Mary J. Pappas.

Nick is survived by his wife Beula M. Pappas; sons, Michael A. (Denise) Pappas of Mobile, Alabama and Ronald S. Pappas of Cahokia, Illinois; grandsons, Michael Zachary Pappas and Samuel James Pappas of Caseyville, Illinois and two granddaughters, Sarah Nichole Pappas of Caseyville, Illinois and Mary Elizabeth Pappas of Mobile, Alabama; Sister in law, Glenda Pappas of Meridian, Mississippi and other relatives, family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the funeral home with Fr. Marvin Volk officiating.

Interment will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
