Michael was born on December 7th, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jon E. and Florence (DeClue) Henderson, 2 brothers, Jerry and Dennis, stepmother, Della and grandson, Connor Michael.
Surviving him are his wife of 49 years, Keitha (Nevitt) Henderson of Cahokia, Illinois, children, Jennifer (Jason) Cato of (Cahokia, IL) and Sean (Amanda) Henderson of (Troy, MO), grandchildren, Alaina and Adelynn, one sister, Martha Boley (Dallas, TX) and his nephew Michael Boley. And various family members including Carmen Eugea, Dad's caretaker who helped so much.
Michael had served his country valiantly in the United States Marine Corps. He worked various jobs at times but he later was a manager most recently in the restaurant business. He was also huge into the Boy Scouts when his son Sean, was little. Wherever he worked, he was always the boss. He enjoyed baking with his daughter, games with his family and cracking up with his granddaughter Alaina when she would win at Uno. He was a huge Star Wars fan and loved to sit and watch movies, especially old black and whites with his wife, 'Kee-Kee'. He loves his family very much and enjoyed his time with us all.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Rites of Cremation will follow with private placement of his ashes at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.
