Linda Jean Smith (nee Thompson), 66, of Belleville, IL passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021. She was born to Olas and Mary Catherine (nee Grayson) Thompson on January 18, 1955 in Centralia, IL.
Linda was well known for her home cooked meals and baked goods. She was passionate about music and enjoyed thrifting and going to yard sales. Linda was an incredibly loving mother and a highly spirited, unique woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her baby boy, Richard “Little Dicky” P. Dilport III.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Terry Smith Jr. and Allen Lynch; siblings Mike, Jimmy, Donna, Louise & Janice Walls; nephew Dane Lynch; and former husband Terry Smith Sr.
Rites of cremation will take place, followed by inurnment at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery at 1 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021.
