John "Johnny" Lee Wagner, 74, formerly of Belleville passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at his residence in Lebanon, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Sarah Wagner; his wife, Sharon Wagner (Biggs); daughter, Sarah Schilling; grandson, Brandon Murdock; and nephew, Jason Martin.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Tara (Brad) Higginbotham, Joshua Wagner; step grandchildren, Catrina and Michael Murdock; great grandchildren, Annalynn, Nevaeh, Lynleigh, Kathlyn, Haley, Roger, Alex, Zach, Brandalynn, Dalton, and Jacob; a brother, Lee (Donna) Wagner; and sister, Pam (Ron) Martin.
John worked for his father as a landfill operator and later worked from Grimm and Gorly Florist. Johnny enjoyed going to stock car races, playing pool, fishing, hunting, going to the club house, and hanging out with his cousins.
A celebration of Johnny's life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville.
