Janice M. Dixon

Janice Marlene Dixon (nee Hill), 72, of Fults, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Belleville Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1950 at St. Mary’s Hospital in East St. Louis, IL.

Jan enjoyed shopping, making ceramics, playing cards and bingo, but above all else, she treasured spending time with her family. Janice was a dutiful wife, a loving mother and a proud grandma. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herchel and Blanche (nee Stevens) Hill; grandson, Ronald James Jr.; brothers, Bob Hill and Eddie (Mary) Hill.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Ronnie Dixon; daughters, Angela (Drew Watts) Dixon, Gena (David) Alger, Ronda (Kori) Pearman and Lisa (Cale) Ray; grandchildren, Heather, Andrew, David Anthony, Brandon, Molly, Emily, and Jett; great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Evra, and Armina; brother, Gene (Kate) Hill; sister-in-law, Barb Hill; plus numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial donations in her honor can be made to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Oak Hill for the excellent care they provided Janice.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Roger Wright. She will be laid to rest at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
