Dean is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Baker) Gillespie of Columbia, daughters, Brenda (Manual) Renteria of Wisconsin, Donna (Charlie) Eilers of Millstadt, Illinois, Angie (Stan) Weller of Millstadt, Illinois, one brother, Frank (Robin) Curtis of Waterloo, Illinois, and grandsons, Kyle Rainbolt, Dillon, Austin and Taylor Gordon.
Dean served his country valiantly in the United States Air Force. He had worked at Ameren.
Dean had a passion for fishing, watching Cardinals baseball and football and collecting hats.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, December 31st, 2021 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
