Willie Ralph Arnold

Willie Ralph Arnold, age 78, passed away on March 21st 2016 in Houston surrounded by family members. Ralph was born on March 18th 1939 in New Waverly, Texas to Willie Lee and Willie Viola (Stewart) Arnold. He was a member of the Air National Guard supporting the military based at Ellington Field. He married Beverly Jean Bevil on June 20th 1963. Together they had two sons, and raised them in Houston and Jakarta, Indonesia. Ralph and Beverly enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time with family and friends. He was a long time Deacon and then Elder at the West University Church of Christ where he served his Lord and Church family for many years. He loved playing board games, gardening and watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly; sons, Brad and Greg; 4 grandchildren, Autumn, Jacob and Joshua (Jennifer) and Kayla (Karin); brother and sister in-law, Larry and Betty Lawrence; and nephew, David Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25th at 10 am at West University Church of Christ, 3407 Bissonnet Street, Houston TX 77005. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 9am to 10am. After the service there will a luncheon at the New Waverly Church of Christ in New Waverly, 102 West Dr. Ste 150, New Waverly, TX 77358 at 12:30 pm followed by burial services at 2pm at East Sandy Cemetery.
