Russell Paul Roberts, 69, much beloved, is gone from our sight but not our hearts. He passed away in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, October 23, 2021. A resident of Houston since his birth on August 14, 1952, Rusty was an avid outdoorsman, a friend to all, and a truly good man. He and his three siblings enjoyed a happy childhood in the 1950s and ’60s. Rusty’s attendance at St. Cecilia’s Catholic School and Memorial High School was followed by a lifelong career with Sears. He married Marjory Grenier on August 16, 2004, becoming stepfather to her three children.
Rusty is survived by stepson Jason Grenier; stepdaughter Candace Wolfe and husband Guy Wolfe; stepdaughter Ashley Grenier and husband Matthew Thompson; step-grandchildren Mackenzie Foret, Jada Fowler, Madison Wolfe, Makayla Wolfe, Andrew Grenier, Macie Wolfe, Avery Grenier, and Greyson Thompson; sister Patricia Roberts Wright and husband Albert S. Wright III; brother James David Roberts and wife Deborah Hieden Roberts; sister Mary Katherine Roberts; step-nephew Albert S. (Kip) Wright IV and wife Pamela Viator Wright; step-grandniece Amanda Louise Wright; step-niece Kelly Wright Head and husband Mark Head; nephew Daniel Ford Blakeman and wife Carolyn Seay Blakeman; aunt and godmother Mary Grace Mock; and numerous cousins.
Rusty was predeceased by wife Marjory Grenier Roberts; step-grandson Evan Grenier; and parents Russell Arthur Roberts and Jeanne Kiefel Roberts.
Visitation for Rusty and Marjory will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, Texas 77401 (https://www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/bellaire-tx/earthman-bellaire-funeral-home/7468). At 11:00 a.m., a joint memorial service for Rusty and Marjory will follow in the same building. There will be neither viewing nor graveside service, as both Rusty and Marjory requested cremation.
