David Lee Lonschein , passed away January 2, 2014. He was born July 30, 1918 in Brooklyn , New York . David was proceeded in death by his parents Dora Friedman Lon¬schein and Jacob Lonschein . Also, his sister Marte Gerber. David is survived by his wife Eleanor and step-son Michael Wiesenthal .
A World War II veteran , he served as sergeant in the United States Army where he received both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his courageous acts .
A true entrepreneur , David founded Lonschein Marine Parts where he spent most of his life supplying the ships at the Houston waterfront. A devoted husband , great friend and a huge heart ,he will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January, 5, 2014 at 9:00am at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet, Houston, Texas.
