Thomas "Tommy Jo" Dvorak passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022. He was born on April 19, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Stanley and Eleanor Dvorak. Tommy Jo · married the love of his life Evelyn and celebrated 62 years of wonderful marriage. They had many lovely memories traveling together, particularly on cruises.
He was also a devoted father of Janet Szarka and her husband Jack, and Barbara Roginski and her husband Tom. He was a cherished grandfather of John Szarka Ill (Pamela), Danny Szarka (Heather), and Steven Szarka (Danielle). In addition, he was a loving great-grandfather of January, Everett, Bentley, Olivia, Landon, Wilder, and Owen Szarka. He was the dear brother of Phillip Dvorak (Marcia), and he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tommy Jo served in the National Guard earning marksmanship as a sharpshooter. In addition, he was a long-time employee at Armco Steel.
Tommy Jo loved family gatherings and vacations with his family, especially at the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. He enjoyed various card and board games, playing golf, and rooting for the Baltimore Ravens. His passion for woodworking was evident given his many beautiful projects and his thoughtful gift--giving to friends and family of his completed works.
A celebration of Tommy Jo's life will be held at 11:00am on December 5, 2022, among immediate family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company at fvfac.org/in-memory/
