On February 22, 2024, M. Kevin Kearney passed away. He was the beloved husband of Catherine A. Kearney (nee McCormack); devoted father of Michael K. Kearney Jr., Andrew J. Kearney; loving grandfather of Reese M. Kearney; dear brother of Mary Lou Donhauser, Frank J. Kearney Jr., Rick A. Kearney, Kathy A. Dick, and Patty M. Egan. He considered his sister-in-law Kathy (Hogan) Kearney and his brother-in-law, Ray Dick as extensions of his siblings. He had numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Marie L. (Sammon) and Frank J. Kearney, granddaughter Shea C. Kearney and sister-in-law Faye Kearney.
Kevin was born in Harford Memorial Hospital and was a lifelong resident of Harford County. He attended St. Margaret Grammer School and was a graduate of The John Carroll School, Mt. St. Mary’s University and Loyola University. Kevin was an avid sports fan, both watching and participating. Sports gave Kevin many close friends including the Brother Fred Softball Team and the John Carroll “March Madness” golfers.
Kevin worked in the commercial lending industry for his entire career making many of his colleagues his close friends. He will be missed “going to church” at the HVBA.
Kevin will be missed by more people than he could ever imagine.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. Macphail Rd Bel Air, MD 21014 on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. A memorial Mass will follow at the St. Margaret Church, 141 N. Hickory Ave, Bel Air, MD 21014, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kevin’s name to the JDRF, P.O.
