Grace Marie McGarrity, age 84, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. McGarrity; devoted mother of Timothy McGarrity and his wife Cathy, Lisa Hardwick and her late husband Dennis; loving grandmother of Kaitlyn Rockefeller and her husband Jake, Sean McGarrity, and Connor McGarrity. Although small in stature, Grace had a very big and loving heart. She was totally devoted to her family. She prided herself in making her homemade ravioli and preparing her delicious meatball and sausage pasta sauce for dinner with the family every Christmas. She tried never to forget a friend's birthday with a card or a phone call in which she and Ed would sing "Happy Birthday." Grace especially loved to talk with young children who were usually instantly taken with her because she was so friendly, and was no bigger than them. She was loved by everyone who ever met her.
Relatives and friends may gather on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 533 Jarrettsville Rd, Forest Hill, MD 21050. Entombment in Bel Air Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 809 Rock Spring Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
