On September 11, 2020 Our Beloved Anthony Louis Beckwith age 71 was called to heaven. Tony, as he was known to many people, served in the United State Marine Corps. For Tony's services in the Vietnam War he was a recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat. Following his service with the United States Marine Corp Tony Became a Truant Officer that provided a Positive Role model for many young men. Tony was a retired Safety officer and was with Abel Construction and T. C. Simmons for many years .
A member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Churchville ,MD. for many years.
Tony leaves behind his loving wife Peggy Beckwith of 39 years. Tony also leaves behind a son Kristopher Beckwith and fiance Denise Baird , 2 grandchildren Jessica Beckwith and Kristopher Beckwith. Tony was the son of the late Raymond and Rosalie Beckwith, Dear Brother of Carla Chagaris and Husband James and the late Michael Beckwith; loving In law to Beverly McGann and Jimmy " Ponch " Bishop and wife Kathy. Tony was also Blessed to be able to raise others as his extended family. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Donald Wheeling and wife Crystal, Mathew White and wife Crystal. Grandchildren Brandon and Nicole Wheeling, Mathew and Jamie White, Kamryn Johnson, and Elija Henderson; numerous other beloved Grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren. A loving host to other dear family and friends. He will be truly missed by Many.
Family and Friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 610 West Macphail Road, Bel Air, Md 21014,on Tuesday,September 15, 2020 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Internment services will follow at Darlington Cemetery, Flowers or donations in Anthony's name to Wounded Warriors Project at Veterans Charity - Non Profit Organization for Veterans | WWP
