Little & Sons Funeral Home
Loretta Jean Webb, 87, fondly known as Lorie, passed away November 25, 2012. She was born on Sept. 26, 1925 in Indianapolis. She worked 12 years taking candid photos of newborn children with First Foto. Her kindness and compassion led her to employment as Activities Director at Canterbury Nursing Home, sharing her beloved pets with residents and creating games, activities and crafts endlessly to help keep the aged and ill in good spirits and health. Many of these skills transcended from her services to the Cub Scouts of America in her earlier years as a den mother. Always giving back to the community, she volunteered at the Indianapolis Zoo for over 30 years, fulfilling her love for horticulture and animals. Her hobbies included gardening and painting that she found time for between visits to the Senior Citizen's Club , providing comfort to the elderly until the time of her death. She will be greatly missed by members of the Central Indiana Cage Bird Club, and her numerous lovable and entertaining birds. A widow of Robt. F. Webb, mother of two sons, Darryl Guy LaFollette and Jeffry LaFollette, and stepmother to John L. Webb, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held in Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel, on Saturday, December 1, at 4:00 PM. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 1 PM. www.LittleAndSonsBeechGrove.com
