Janet C. "Grammy" Wiley

79, passed away April 6, 2017 with her family at her side. She passed as she lived her life, with grace and dignity.
Janet was born on October 11, 1937 in Beech Grove, IN to Rudolph W. and Ella (Hartsock) Behler. She was a lifetime resident of the city.
After graduating from St. Mary's Academy in 1955. She worked as an administrative assistant at Eli Lilly Co. for 36 years.
On June 21, 1958, she married the love of her life Warner, the former Mayor of Beech Grove, who survives her along with their four children, daughter Jeanine Doyle (Ron), sons Michael, Craig (Sara) and Ryan (Tammy), along with nine grandchildren, Shanna, Kristin, Brenna, Patrick, Cullen, Ella, Reese, Lauren, Gray and one great-grandchild, Silas.
Janet loved to work in the yard, read, travel and play penny slot machines. Two of her favorite places to visit were Las Vegas and Hilton Head, SC. She loved being with her family and Eli Lilly friends. She was a former member of Holy Name and current member at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
She is also survived by her brother, Paul Behler (Marcia) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9 from 2:00-6:00 at Little and Son's Beech Grove. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday April 10 at 10:00 at Holy Name Catholic Church. Internment will be at the Gardens at Olive Branch in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Society for Fighting Blindness.
