Janet Yvonne Coleman

Janet Yvonne Coleman (Burch), age 73 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully the morning of April 8, 2022. Janet grew up in Acton, graduated from University of Indianapolis in 1971, and taught 3rd and 5th grade at Wanamaker Elementary in Indianapolis for 35 years. She was preceded by brother Bernard (Sonny) Burch, parents Evelyn and Bernard Burch, and brother-in-law Jack Sleeth. She is survived by her husband of 50 years James Coleman, Jr., Sons James III (Danielle) Coleman & Jon Coleman, Grandchildren Maggie Coleman, Olivia Coleman, and Grant Coleman. Siblings Peggy Sleeth, Sylvia (Harry) Mohler and Elizabeth Burch. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-7pm at Little & Sons in Beech Grove, with memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
