He will be dearly missed by Rebecca Brown Sponcil and his brother, Joseph Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine Lawrence and his brother, Brad.
After graduating from Beech Grove High School in 1976, Doug served in the United States Army. He then obtained a Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and began his career as a Project Manager.
Doug was a lifelong resident of Beech Grove and loved his city. He was a former member of the Southport Jaycees and the Beech Grove Promoters Club.
He was an ardent fan of Jimmy Buffet and you are invited to honor Doug’s ‘Change of Latitude’ on April 6, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM at 5th Ave Grill and Bar, 423 Main St, Beech Grove. Please feel free to dress in tropical attire.
