Gwen Loree Pettigrew

Gwen Loree Pettigrew, age 92, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. Gwen was born May 2, 1928 to Charlotte (Shook) Hubbard-Sherer and George Hubbard. Gwen was a graduate of Tech High School and worked as a secretary in the pharmaceutical industry before taking a break from work to raise her 6 children. Later she would work as a nursing aid caring for others. She and her husband Emerson enjoyed camping and would go regularly to Lake Monroe. Gwen is survived by her children Doug Pettigrew, Pam Olah, Cyle Keesee, Cathy Steffey, Karen Salter, and Jeff Pettigrew; brother, Larry Sherer; grandchildren, DJ, Jenny, Quinten, Brian, Amanda, Kevin, Evan, Kara, Brandi, Kristen, Chris, and Ryan; and several great grandchildren. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Pettigrew; father, George Hubbard; mother, Charlotte (Shook) Sherer; and step-father Bill Sherer Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. Her Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Social distancing and facemasks are required. There is a 25 person capacity in the facility, please be mindful if others are waiting to come in an pay there respects.
