She was born in Sharples, WV.
Darlene was a manager for food services for the Indianapolis Water Co. for over 34 years.
She is survived by her children Melinda Sue and Devin Austin; father Alvin Gayheart; and sisters Vonda Mountford and Pat Hillebrand. Darlene was preceded in death by her mother Myrtie Gayheart and brother Rick Gayheart.
Visitation will be held Sunday Jan. 6th from 2:00-5:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel with funeral services on Monday Jan 7th at 2:00 Pm in the funeral home. Private burial on Tuesday Jan. 8th in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
