Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley Paul “Whiz” Moye Paul “Whiz” Moye, 80, of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House. Born July 31, 1934 in Glen White; he was a son of Grace Sybil and Oley Lee Moye. Whiz was a Retired Coal Miner, having last worked at Sterling Smokeless Coal in Whitby, WV. He was a member of the UMWA for over 50 years. He liked to hunt and fish, play the harmonica, talk on the C.B Radio with the call name of Stingray and Short Wave Radio; he was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of the Brethern. Having followed in his father’s footsteps, Whiz adopted beekeeping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Pauline, which was his twin sister, Patricia Ann, Carl Edward, Kenneth Earl, James, and Jack; and his former wife, Helen Moye. Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Ricky Duane Moye, Paul Randy Moye, and Robbie Jean Miller; brothers, David Lee, and Allen Ray and wife Brenda; 8 grandchildren, Connie, Darrin, Ricky, Brent, Catherine, Adam, Joshua, and Rebecca; four great-grandchildren, Cedar, Garrett, Cole, and Dakota.
