Myrtle Linville, 87, currently of Beckley, formerly of Rock Creek, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was the daughter of Clinton Dickens and Ruby Dickens (Webb). She was born November 24, 1929 in Montcoal, West Virginia. Myrtle was kind hearted and was loved by everyone who knew her.
She was a homemaker and raised five children with her late husband, Charles Chris Linville whom she was married to for 67 years. She was a lifelong member of Rebecca Chapel Church and in later years attended the Family Worship Center. She enjoyed sewing, going on bus tours, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Howard Dickens, sisters; Margaret Hamm and Melba Sweezea.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Shelby Linville (Debbie), Delane Linville (Patti), Crystal Williams (Eddie), Tammy Abrams (Rodney), and Anita Stover (Ronnie); grandchildren, Shannon Linville (Joleen), Jason Linville (Amy), Rebekah Toler (Eddie), Kevin Linville (Anna), Elizabeth Legg (Jordan), Uriah Stover, and Alivia Stover; great-grandchildren, Jaden and Mason Linville, Devin Linville, Willow and Skylar Toler, Levi and Tanner Linville, and Emma Legg, step-grandchildren; Crissy Milam (Lee), Shelly Pugh (Chris), Janeen Rose (Scotty), Fred Tzystuck (Kate), Mary Locklear (Billy), Joey Williams (Erica) step great-grandchildren; Shiloh and Gavin Milam, Brady Rose, Charity Starling (Chris), Donovan Williams and Dakota Locklear, Jacob, Mayli, and Violet Williams. She is also survived by her brothers; Harry and Larry Dickens and sisters; Marie Miller, Joyce Alderman and Judy Groft.
The family would like to recognize Myrtle’s caregivers for their extraordinary love and care shown to her during her final days and have become a part of the family; Debbie Linville, Alecia Travers, Kendra Meadows, Karen Lawson and Judy Dickens.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm. Services will follow directly after visitation. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Pastor Jordan Legg will officiate and the grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
