Mason Paul Grim, 79, of Beckley, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021.
Born September 27, 1941 in Winding Gulf; he was the 13th child of 17 children born to the late Robert Lee Grim and the late Francis Linkous Grim.
Mason loved to golf, go to horse races, and listen to music. He loved the ARMY and his country, he retired from the US ARMY following 28 years of dedicated service, but most of all he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed, Russell, Bob, Eugene, Emmitt, and Johnny Grim; sisters, Virginia Evans and Dorothy Morrison.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Bonnie "Susie" Grim; two step children, Deborah Monk and Mike Williams; a special granddaughter, Hunter Page; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie, Mark, and James Grim; sisters, Mary Hawkens, Louanna McGraw, Reva Meadows, Shelby Jean Smith, and Margaret Raines; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Mason Paul Grim will be held 11:00AM Friday, July 9, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Aaron Evans officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Following the service, Mason will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends may gather with the family from 10:00AM until time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of sympathy be made to the Raleigh County Animal Shelter or St. Judes.
