Leiha Rae Shaver

Leiha Rae Shaver, 36 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her home. Born on February 2, 1982 in Sarasota, FL, she is the daughter of Angela Shaver Burton and the late Robert Shaver.

In addition to her father, Robert Shaver, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Lauren Grace Shaver and Isabelle Jade Barker. She is survived by her son, Dailen Polk; her mom and step-dad, Angela Shaver Burton and Carl Burton; her siblings, Robert Shaver, Jr. and his wife, Carrie, Lori Shaver, Terry Shaver and Ali Collinsworth; her step-sisters, Sandra Drennen and her husband, Steven, and Tammy Porter and her husband, Bobby; her step-brother, Michael Burton and his wife, Sue; aunt and uncle, Rebecca Workman Chapman and Bernie Roest; and nine nieces and three nephews.

Leiha was an avid and lifelong Florida Gators fan. She enjoyed reading and collecting different books and novels such as the “Divergent Series”. She enjoyed music and singing. You could always hear her singing classic music from the 1950’s. Leiha also enjoyed playing the game “Bejeweled”. She was a good Christian who had the gift of giving to others and was the “Event-Planner” of the family. She was a loving daughter, sister and the greatest mother her son could ever have.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Sandra K. Drennen officiating.
