JoAnn Maynor McNabb

JoAnn Maynor McNabb, age 83, of Beaver, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House. Born on August 22, 1937 in Long Branch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Emory Maynor and Ethel Buckland Maynor.

JoAnn had a passion for listening to “preaching” from the Word of God. She attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Beaver. She loved gardening and tending to her flower beds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McNabb, Sr.; her daughter, Diane Layne; her great-grandsons, Ezekiel McNabb and Elon McNabb; and her brothers, Roland Maynor and Robert Maynor. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Owens and her husband, Kenneth, and Charles McNabb, Jr. and his wife, Lesley; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah, Hannah, Ester, David, Rachel, Christina, Michael, JoEllen, Brandon, Christopher, Brooke, Charles and Mary; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Darlene Walker and her husband, Donald; her brother, Billy Maynor; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, Friday, August 28, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Devotion in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be her family and friends.
