Joan was born in Jonben, West Virginia. She was a daughter of the late William D. Doss and the late Lola Terry Doss.
Ms. Doss was a loving sister and friend to her oldest sister, Janice Lusk.
Joan loved music and played the piano at Mead Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred Edwards, Eugene Doss, and Elwyne Doss.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving siblings, Janice Lusk, Elizabeth Doss, Levi Doss, and Douglas Doss; nieces, Lois Howerton, and husband, Larry and Regina Harris; great-nieces, Robin Hardy and husband, James and Brooke Blankenship and husband, Joseph; great-great nephews, Ethan Blankenship, Matthew Hardy, Jonathan Hardy and wife, Katie, Zachary Hardy and wife, Katie Jo; great-great-great nephew, Thomas; great-great-great nieces, Mary-Kate, Anniston, and Macie.
Services to celebrate the life of Joan Frances Doss will be held 11:00AM Friday, February 16, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Beckley with Lyndon Lucas officiating. Following the services Joan will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Family will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 10:30AM until time of the service Friday at the mausoleum.
