Mrs. Janie D. Miller, age 78, of Maben, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Hidden Valley Center in Oak Hill. Born on November 22, 1942 in Lindsey (Mingo County, WV), she was the second of 11 children to the late Samuel Daniels and Mary Belle Blankenship Daniels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Lawrence A. Miller, Jr.; one sister, Dimple Daniels; one brother, Scotty Daniels; and her daughter-in-law, Teresa G. Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Lawrence A. Miller; sons, Tony P. Miller and wife, Betty Jo of Rock Hill, SC, Gary K. Miller and wife, Peggy of Pence Springs, WV, and Randy K. Miller of Mullens, WV; daughter, Karen Adkins and husband, Bob of Beckley; five granddaughters; 2 grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters; four brothers; a host of nieces and nephews; her Aunt, Alma Kennedy of Beech Creek, WV; her special friend, Robin Barker; and her three loving puppies, Howie, Odie and Zeke.
Janie enjoyed crocheting and cooking and had a joy for the Holidays. She was a loving and devoted wife for 62 years to her husband, Lawrence. Janie loved and cherished spending time with her family, friends and her three puppies.
A Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Hope Mausoleum in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary K. Miller and Pastor David Ingram officiating.
In accordance with the current CDC guidelines, the family and the staff of Blue Ridge Funeral Home ask that those who attend the services wear proper facial coverings and practice social distancing at all times.
