Gracie Irene Farley Lilly of Coal City age 100, went to be with the Lord Monday, February, 7th 2022.
She was born October 27, 1921 to the late Andrew Johnson Farley and Luzanie Cox Farley of Summers County.
Gracie Irene, a homemaker, spent a lifetime of caring and sewing for her family. Her specialty was loving her children, grandchildren, quilts. She was normally prepared to gift visitors with a handmade item before their departure from her home.
Mrs Lilly passed down her love of sewing and quilt making to her family. Mrs. Lilly was an avid gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Granvil Lilly, brothers Chester, Lonnie, Virgil, Carl, and Beecher, and by sisters Annie, Ruby, Opal, Evelyn, Chloie and infant twin sisters.
She is deeply loved and missed by her surviving family which includes; daughters; Juanita Ferguson (Donald) of Wayside, WV, Wavie French of Coal City, Virginia Gruss (Robert) of Burton, OH, Rose Lilly-Harvey (Moody) of Hickory, NC and sons, Odell Lilly (Linda) of Coal City WV and William Lilly (Dreama) of Sanford, NC; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 with Rev. Cecil Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.
Grandsons and son- in- laws will serve as pallbearers.
