BLUE RIDGE FUNERAL HOME BECKLEY DENNIS BLISS DANIEL Dennis Bliss Daniel, 79, of Glen Daniel, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Born September 22, 1934 at Clear Creek, WV to the late Jessie Edward Daniel and Beulah Ellen Jessup Daniel. Dennis loved gardening, taking care of cattle, spending time with his grandkids and watching the news. He was a member of the Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #95, Beckley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cynthia Daniel, Mary Manning and Julie Honaker; brothers, Edward Lindbergh and Cody Daniel. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Delores “Dee” Daniel; three sons, Randy Daniel and wife, Karen, Dennis M. (Melvin) Daniel and wife, Robin, and Jesse Edward “JE” Daniel; a daughter, Carol Kourtsis and husband, Cory; eight grandchildren, Joshua Daniel, Kara Daniel, Kaitlyn Daniel, Shelby Daniel, Elizabeth Daniel, Daniel Kourtsis, Nico Kourtsis, and Dustin Daniel; a great-grandchild, Noah Daniel; three brothers, George Daniel and wife, Janice, Terry Daniel and wife, Brenda, and Leslie Daniel and wife, Linda; two sisters, Nellie Anderson and Winona Quesenberry and husband, Jim; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services to celebrate the life of Dennis Bliss Daniel will be held 1:30PM Sunday September 14, 2014 at Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Following the services Dennis will be laid to rest at J.E. Daniel Family Cemetery. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday at the Breckenridge Church.
