Darrell L. Lovell Sr.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. On Friday, October 2, 2015, our precious husband, father, and grandpa, Darrell L. Lovell (62) passed into the presence of the Lord. Born August 16, 1953 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Fred A. and Susie Lovell Sr. Darrell enjoyed hunting with his son and granddaughters, attending church as a member of Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church, singing in church, and singing with his granddaughters. Darrell loved and cherished his three beautiful granddaughters with all his heart. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being a mechanic. He was employed with Appalachian Tire for 20 years and with AEP for the last 24 years. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Marlene Lovell; daughter Tina Stump and husband Bobby; granddaughters Caitlin and Kendal Stump; son Darrell Lovell and wife Julie; granddaughter Mercedes Lovell; brother, Richard Lovell and wife Kathy; brother Rev. Fred Lovell and wife Karen; sister, Cathy Lovell Bays; sister-in-law Belinda Tolliver and husband Bobby; sister-in-law Gail Ward and husband Bo; multiple nephews, nieces, and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Services to celebrate the life of Darrell will be held 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Bobby Tolliver, Steve Neal, Don Powers, Leonard Plumley, Jeff Athey, and Josh Ellison will serve as pallbearers.
