Charles "Charlie" Frazier Grim

May 5, 1946 – October 17, 2021

Charles “Charlie” Frazier Grim, 75, of Seaford, Delaware, formerly of Princewick, West Virginia passed away on Sunday, October 17th, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital.

He was 16 of 17 children, born May 5th 1946, to the late Robert Lee Grim and Francis Linkous Grim.

Charlie loved the game of golf, going hunting with the boys, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and tending to his lawn. He was a retired UMWA coal miner and a proud Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed, Russell, Bob, Eugene, Emmitt, Mason, and Johnny Grim as well as sisters, Virginia Evans and Dorothy Morrison.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 49 years, Sherry J. Grim; his children, Melissa Kuhlman Baz (Maher), Ray “Pete” (Kimberly), Jeff (April), Russ (Jessica) and Stephanie Grim Graham (Danny); he also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Linda), Mark (Zolia); sisters, Louanna McGraw, Reva Meadows, Margaret Raines, Shelby Jean Smith, Mary Hawkins and many nephews, nieces, and their extended families. As well as his neighbors that became family, Steve and Michelle Hearn and their family.

Charlie will always be remembered for his love of family and friends and of West Virginia.

A celebration of life for Charles Frazier Grim will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV with Mr. Larry Winston officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. No burial will follow as Charles elected to be cremated. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home, Saturday November 13, 2021 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM. A luncheon will be hosted by his nieces and nephews following the services.
