BRENDA G. DELANO Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me.” OAK HILL- Brenda G. DeLano, 65, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2015 at Appalachian Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born July 27, 1949 in Springton, WV; she was the daughter of the late Sybil and Dexter Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Tracy and Gale Cooper. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Chuck DeLano; her daughter, Teresa DeLano and a grandson, Matthew DeLano. Those left to cherish her memory include her two sisters, Nancy Parent and husband, Kenneth and Bonnie Stephenson; three brothers, Bobby Bailey and wife, LaVaughn, Dallas Bailey, and D.C. Bailey. She was of the Christian Faith and attended the Harvey United Methodist Church. Brenda was a homemaker and loved to cook and read. Her favorite show to watch was the Gaither Trio on TV, we can still hear her singing their songs. She never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. She was a very caring and loving person and will be greatly missed. The family would like to say “Thank You” to the staff that helped take care of her while she was at Hilltop Nursing Home and Appalachian Regional Hospital. A Memorial Service to Celebrate the life of Brenda G. DeLano will be held 7:00PM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Kenneth Parent and Jenny Underwood officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
