Mary V Cox, age 90, of Seabrook, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at UTMB Health Clear Lake Campus Hospital in Webster, TX. A native of Houston, Mary lived in Beaumont for 54 years before moving to Seabrook in 2010. Mary enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, Thai Chi, buying shoes with her fema money, and spending time with her family. Mary was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaumont, and Seabrook United Methodist Church in Seabrook.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Mary will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Seabrook United Methodist Church in Seabrook, with a Celebration of Mary's Life to follow at 11:00 AM also at the church, A burial to follow on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Vernon Cox, parents, Bruce and Irene Welch Williamson, brother, Robert Williamson, sister, Huldah Lockard, and Winnie Jenson.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Nancy Jurgens and her husband Ken of Seabrook, and Marianne Harkrider and her husband Steve of Longview, sister Joyce Williamson of Katy, grandchildren, Natalie Davis and her husband Sean of San Antonio, Jason Harkrider and his wife Abby of Pittsburg, Pa., and Allyson Penshorn and her husband Justin of San Antonio, great grandchildren, Benjamin Harkrider, and Jack Harkrider both of Pittsburg, PA.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
