Marilyn Marie Bean, 73, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on November 15, 1939, to Hedwig Frances Bolak Garofalo and Antonio Paul Garofalo, in Detroit, Michigan. Marilyn was a Docent with the John J. French Museum and a member of Westgate Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-three years, Wendell C. Bean; daughters, Mary Katherine Doiron of Beaumont and Melanie Elizabeth Adams of Issaquah, Washington; grandchildren, Donovan, Jon Glen, Brittany, Paige, Clayton, and Chelsea.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sammy Garofalo; and son, Nils Timothy Strang.
A gathering of Mrs. Bean’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
