Margaret Helen Peveto Kyte

Funeral Services for Margaret Helen Peveto Kyte, 95, of Beaumont, will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. Dave Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Margaret was born on July, 8, 1920 in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1938 where she was on the Royal Guards Drill Team. Margaret joined Roberts Avenue Methodist Church when she was 12 years old and in November of 1985 became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Margaret worked hard during her lifetime. She was a member of the Teamsters Local for 12 years, Yellow Freight for 8 years, Hydro Carbon Construction, Texaco, Cajun Concrete, Coastal Welding, First City Bank and Community Bank. Her hobbies included Crocheting, Gardening, Cooking and Reading.

Margaret was a member of many clubs including: Wesley United Super Solos, United Methodist Women, 55+ at Baptist Hospital, Health Partners Senior Friends Club at St. Elizabeth's, Lifetime member of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) and was given an Award Certificate from the Great State of Texas in 1950 and was given The Lifetime Membership Award from the National PTA in 1951, Member of Delta Rho Delta Omicron Chapter.

Survivors include: Granddaughter, Kristen Wilson Frazier and her husband Ernest of Houston; Great Grandchildren, Christopher Ernest Frazier of Houston and Jennifer Kristen Frazier of Houston; Niece, Sandra LaBorde.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Gentiva Hospice and Summer Place Nursing Home.
