Jimmie Wayne Nugent, 62, of Port Lavaca, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Citizen Medical Center in Victoria, TX. A native and longtime resident of Beaumont, before moving to Port Lavaca 2 years ago. Jimmie was a Weld Inspector/Radiographer with Team Inc. Jimmie was an amazing husband and friend. He would never hesitate to help anyone and was great at making people laugh. Jimmie was an avid collector of knives with vast knowledge and a large group of friends across the US and beyond that he shared his passion. He had great love and respect for Harley's and spent many years riding with his friends.. He enjoyed passing time fishing, and just relaxing by the saltwater and spending time with family and friends and enjoying a great BBQ. Jimmie had a soft spot for animals and loved his dogs and cats as family. For this reason we ask in lieu of flowers to please make donations to his favorite humane society which he contributed to monthly, The Calhoun County Humane Society

A Celebration Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Mary Catherine White Nugent.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Danielle Munselle Nugent of Port Lavaca, son James Nugent and wife Sharlane Watkins of Vidor, step-daughter, Jennifer Christina Trager and her husband Billy of Beaumont, grandchildren, Jace Nugent of Vidor, and Jaxton Trager of Beaumont, sister, Kathy Nugent and her husband John of Grand Forks, ND., nieces, Emma Campbell of Grand Forks, ND., and Sara Campbell of Dumas, TX., nephews, Mitch Campbell of Grand Forks, ND., and Jared Campbell of Dumas, TX., and a host of friends.
Jimmie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
