Genevieve "Jerry" Nichols King was born in Austin, Texas on May 23, 1925 to Foster H. and Irene Rankin. She passed away in Kountze, Texas on February 15, 2014. Jerry was an active member of the ladies Auxiliary for the Spindletop VFW Post #1806. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Billy Claude Rankin and Johnny "Slick" Rankin. Survivors include her loving daughter, Penny Barnes & husband Gene T. of Kountze; grand daughters, Nickie Miller, Jennifer Robertson and Katie Wuest; great grandchildren, Alex Robertson, Dalton Robertson, Ty Miller, Paige Miller and Tommy West.
