Frances Merle Petree, 88, a twenty year resident of Liberty coming from Sour Lake passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2018 in Liberty. Frances was born in Bronson, Texas on December 26, 1929 to her parents Estus L. Winningham and Mary Marie Dillon Winningham who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Masel Petree, one son Barry Lynn Petree, two brothers; Aubrey Winningham, Carl Winningham, two sisters; Jeanette Winningham, and Helen Pearl Winningham, three grandsons; Christian Ray Petree, Christian Lynn Petree, and Jaime Ray Petree.
Frances is survived by her son Ray Petree, Jr. of Beaumont, two sisters; Dorothy Steward and husband Jack Sewell of Huffman, Etta Sexton and husband Pinkey of Pasadena, two grandsons; Derek Petree, Hunter Petree, and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Petree enjoyed being at home cooking, and was an excellent salesperson.
She sold Mary K Products, and worked at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Beaumont, and also excelled at being a dedicated Department Store Manager for the White House in Beaumont.
Mrs. Petree’s favorite thing to do was attend her beloved Liberty Church of Christ where she was very involved in the ministries of her faith and the church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
