Mrs. Bertha Mary Bernard Keenan

Mrs. Keenan was born on April 3, 1920 to Peter Wight and Eunice Isabel Bernard in Beaumont, TX. She had been a lifelong resident of the Southeast Texas area and was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church. She married Hollis W. Keenan on March 20, 1938 in Houston. She loved to quilt, sew and garden.

Mrs. Keenan was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters; Jessie Robertson Lavoy and Mae Isabel Campbell and an infant daughter; Margery Ann Keenan.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Jo Ellen Laudig and husband James of Beaumont, Mary Ann Keenan and husband John Lowry of Austin, Dana Cline and husband David of Grand Prairie; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
