age 78, of Beaumont, California passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Sarge was born in Indiana to Francis Mae Sargent and Ward Lewis Sargent. Sarge was a simple guy who made a friend wherever he went. He was a man’s man who viewed the world with gentle eyes and a soft heart and could find the humor in anything. Sarge has traveled the world but loved the great outdoors best. He even earned the nickname “Mountain Man.” He particularly loved to fish and he like all fishermen was always in search of the "big one". He also Loved Fishing and Vacationing at Cardinal Village in Bishop, CA. Sarge volunteered at Carol's Kitchen, San Gorgonio Hospital, and Beaumont Police Department. He was constantly doing things and thinking up projects. He took tremendous pride in his work. Above all, Sarge had great love for his family and his family beyond question loved him. He will be lovingly missed.
Sarge is survived by his wife, Charlene, his daughter Pamela, and his son Michael, his grandchild Matthew, Eric, Alina and Avery, his great grandchildren Eli, Ava, and Ema, his siblings Ronald Sr. and Patti Foy.
Sarge was preceded in death by his father Ward Lewis Sargent, and his mother Frances Mae Sargent.
A memorial service for Sarge will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223. Following the memorial service will be a graveside service at Oak Park Cemetery, 410 Sycamore Ave, Claremont, California, 91711.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sarge's memory may be made to American Lung Association, National Breast Cancer Foundation, ASPCA, and Wounded Warriors.
