JOHN JOSEPH SCHMIDT
Born to Joseph Alfred and Ernestina Balli Schmidt
on June 12, 1952
until Jesus said “Son, take my hand”
on April 6, 2012
~
Youngest brother
of Joel Schmidt and his fishing buddy, Anthony Schmidt
~
John loved his job as an Emergency Repair Specialist
for Safety-Kleen Environmental Services in Highland.
Thank you for the great group of co-workers you are and what you meant to John.
Arnie, you held a very special place in his heart. John loved when both of you shared the word of Jesus to each other, in his heart you are his brother.
And finally from Abuelito to the girls in the front office, he would want you to continue learning your daily Spanish words as if he was giving you the daily word to you.
He loved you girls so much!
~
To our church family, friends, and neighbors, no words can express the love, fellowship, and encouragement we have felt throughout the years.
. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for allowing our family into your hearts.
~
Lety, John was so happy when you, Chris, and the boys would come to visit.
It meant so much to him.
He learned to appreciate the friendship and love that grew between the two of you
as the years passed. Thank you for being John’s special friend and first wife.
~
My beloved husband, Schmity,
Thirty-nine years we loved and lived a wonderful life.
Married for thirty-five of the 39 years
on July 9, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV.
I will cherish the memories of us being baptized in water on the same day,
rejoicing in the presence of God year-after-year in ministry;
and fishing streams and camping in the High Sierras near Bishop.
Experiencing life’s journey through the thick and thin of it all;
from grandchildren being born to the heartbreak of our parents passing;
we shared it all together hand-in-hand.
Rest in your Heavenly abode my love, right next to the River of Life.
I’ll wait patiently until our Lord takes my hand and leads me to your side
forever and ever.
~
Dad, we give you honor this day and thank you for the wonderful life you gave us.
From the talks we had, though at times we disagreed, you respected our views and acknowledged that we no longer were children, but young adults that live by example.
We knew then as we know now, that we could always come to you for encouragement,
an ear just to listen, to get a warm embrace, or just to sit together in silence or laughter.
A fisher of men and a fisherman you are and will forever be in Heaven.
We will hold dear in our hearts the memory of our father, you precious dad.
You taught us when we were babes how to walk in the sight of Christ Jesus no matter the circumstances; never to look back, but to press toward the mark of His high calling.
And for this you are OUR HERO.
~
Grandpa, thank you for the fishing and camping trips,
for wrestling with us on the floor;
for letting your little ones take over your t.v. to watch Wrestle Mania or Nick Jr.,
and to play on your computer (grudgingly).
Thank you for scolding us when we needed it, and for hugs and kisses and love you gave Joseph, Brendin, and Kammi.
Grandpa your older grandsons thank you for how you encouraged them to succeed in everything that they will do and to love life to the fullest with respect to mankind.
But above all that life has to offer us, Grandpa;
Your Bible studies and sharing Jesus with us will forever stay in our hearts.
We love you Schmity, Dad, and Grandpa
From your loving wife, Belinda
Children: Christine, Rachel, Kiara, and Rudy
Grandchildren: Kevin, Rickey, Spencer, Joseph, Brendin, and your little angel, Kamryn.
